all I can say is: UWA faculty staff, or at least the med admin guy = fucking awesome.

so i gave him a call, as i haven't heard info from him about interviews since mid-november and thought they might have forgotten about me. he was really nice. we had a bit of chat. he was trying to figure out how many interstaters would actually turn up to his after-first-round-offer-interviews. and we got talking about monash and about bonded and how it wouldn't make much difference to me cost wise as either way i'd probably need to rent a place.

"and you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend you could stay with?"

now, this may sound inappropriate and as if he were digging round for too much information, but the tone and context was really casual and not pushy. and i also tend to like people who at least humour me when i make a joke.
